Meditation is not separate from daily living

Meditation is not separate from daily living. Meditation is not something which is done for few hours in a day and then can be forgotten. Meditation is a way of living life consciously. Meditation is to be aware of our actions and thoughts through out the day. Meditation is to act in a moment out of our consciousness.

Meditation is the art of responding to the situation without bringing our prejudices, conclusions, memories, past, desires, expectations or conditioning in between. We can respond to a situation in two ways:
1) We can react to a situation by using our Mind - Any response that comes from our Mind is always colored by our past and memories and it can never be the right response to a situation. Because our response is already limited and influence by the past memories and experiences. Existence never repeats anything. All the situations in our life are new and they requires fresh response from us.

2) Second way to respond to a situation is from our no-mind and this decision is always fresh and new. It is not based upon our previous experiences but it is to respond to the present situation as it arises. For this one need to be aware in each and every moment.

Note - Mind is a useful instrument for certain situations in life like calculation, driving vehicle, purchasing groceries, making travel plans etc. So one need to learn the art of using the mind when it is needed and putting the mind aside and responding from awareness when mind is not needed.

Or alternatively keep as far away from your mind as possible, allowing your mind to remain utterly empty-- giving way to the heart. Good post.
